Last Saturday, May 12th, we put down the first 10 rows of poly mulch with our brand new
Mechanical Transplanter Model 90 Mulch Layer. It was a great day to be out working at
the farm! We were able to transplant the first few rows of onions over the weekend as well!

On Monday, May 14th, 2012, we planted Swiss Chard by seed, and later this week we will be
planting our Spinach, Kale, and Field & Snow Peas...

Cedar Grove Family Become Farmers

“I always loved gardening, and I always said, ‘Some day when I can afford it, I’m going to buy a farm,’” says Anthony Bracco.
Anthony, a graphic design business owner for the past 27 years, realized his dream in 2009. He and his wife, Christa, who live in Cedar Grove,
purchased a 25-acre farm on Pine Island, a hamlet in the Town of Warwick in Orange County, New York that is known for its fertile soil. -read more-

Like many Pine Island farmers, Tony Bracco, who owns 25 acres on County Route 1 just across the way
